PADI Emergency Oxygen Instructor
Providing oxygen to an injured diver can make a huge difference in that diver's chances of recovery. Oxygen is incredibly important in the treatment of diving injuries, and quite often is the only form of first aid provided to injured divers. Oxygen can also be vital in the first aid treatment of people with a number of non-diving medical emergencies, including stroke and shock!
Every diver should be aware of how to supply oxygen, and the limitations and precautions that apply to its usage. Learning how to provide oxygen is easy, and the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider program is the perfect way for a diver to learn how and when to provide oxygen to someone suffering a medical emergency, particularly a diving emergency. The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider uses a range of easy to use oxygen delivery devices, including the demand valve, non-rebreather mask, pocket mask with oxygen inlet and manually triggered resuscitation valve to deliver oxygen to a breathing or non-breathing patient.
The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty Instructor Training Course teaches the PADI Divemaster, PADI Assistant Instructor or PADI Instructor how to deliver this course, and how it can be integrated into other PADI courses, particularly the Rescue Diver program. The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty Instructor Training Course takes less than 1 day, and is scheduled regularly at United Divers.
